brings his own rag tag crew together to review the Firefly Board Game
and discuss the cult series that is Firefly. As the tag line says on
the box, "Find a crew, find a job, keep flying." Can Dave's special
guests Brandy and Jeremy keep this ship that is Gamers Anonymous flying?
Jacob calls an audible to start the show before Brian begins his weekly
read through of the notes. This week they kick things off with some
Marvel news and rumors, as there have been a lot again lately. Guardians of
the Galaxy, Ant-Man, and the new Marvel TV lineup all get a mention.
Some cool stuff happened at NYCC this year, and the boys touch on a
couple of the finer points. Charlie Hunnam has made the best decision of
his career, and The Walking Dead had a HUGE season premiere. Adam
Green is up to his Halloween shenanigans again, and Jacob might be in
love. All this and a special segment about Anthony Hopkins fan-girling
over Breaking Bad.
Most of the time it's action, horror, or sci-fi that is reviewed for The
Gorram Nerd Hour, but Jacob couldn't help himself with Joss Whedon's new
adaptation of a classic Shakespeare play filled with Whedon regulars
from all of his former TV series. So what did Jacob think of the movie?
