In
the middle of the night after getting home from Canada, Kevin records a
show about seeing Niagara Falls, a giant Casey tantrum, states' rights
and his feelings on Born Agains.
This week, JGonzo and Steve are joined by comedian Erin Ontko, as they
look behind the curtain of stand up comedy and discuss what goes on
behind the scenes of producing a show. Of course, there are tangents
into Master of None, the More Brains documentary, boobs, J and
Steve's meet-cute, and more proof that everything is
Steve's fault
Originating at Papago Brewing in Scottsdale; Mandy, GloryHoundd, Mrs.
Blogster, Handsome J and the Masked Blogster record their third podcast
of the night. It must have really set in that we were at a bar as shots
are fired and doses of Vitamin D are offered.
Steve and JGonzo are preparing for their big show, but still take time
to talk about Ash vs the Evil Dead, Crimson Peaks, The Chase, Star Trek,
Elvira, a real life TPS report, and how The Flash jumped the shark. All this, and Steve explains the concept of a Seder plate!
GloryHoundd educates the group on the world of gaming; teaching us the
best ways to get people playing whether young or old. Outside of the
podcast, GloryHoundd also does demos for Steve Jackson Gaming and is our
resident expert for the world of tabletop gaming.
It's our Halloween episode, and perhaps the only episode where
we don't discuss anything Halloween-appropriate. We do discuss
Frida Kahlo, candy etiquette, Motley Crue, the Positivsteve world tour,
Jane's Addiction, Spirit World, Sexcastle, and J pays
attention!
@gloryhoundd joins Masked Blogster, Handsome J, Mandy and Mrs. Blogster
to talk Halloween, pranks, costumes, board games and J's disdain of the
insurance industry.
Kevin talks about Halloween, the Cubs and Back to the Future, out of control cops and Quentin Tarantino, a pre-wedding party for him and Sam and why Adele needs an intervention.
As we get closer to Halloween, we discuss a topic near and dear to our
hearts: Zombies, both the band and the monsters. Tangents for this week
include Keith Richards, Kurt Loder, Ghost Shark 2, Frankenstein, video
stores, Russian novelists, Linnea Quigley, the new Star Wars trailer,
and naming your comedy bits.
Masked
Blogster, Handsome J and Jihad Jim record just outside of the
Haunted Crypt attraction in Mesa, AZ. The hosts talk about Arrow, Flash
and some of their favorite haunted house experiences. People that went
through the Haunted Crypt also chimed in on what they thought.
Steve and J are joined by Rob Maebe and Gordon McKay to talk about their
favorite horror films. Movies discussed include Nightmare on Elm
Street, The Strangers, Hellraiser, It Follows, Friday the 13th, Saw, Strangelands, and Return of the Living Dead, along with lively debate about the Leprechaun banking system.
Richard, Zen and The Producer sit down to watch the original Star Wars
because (gasp!) Richard has never seen it! No shit, he's never seen
Star Wars and we seek to right this wrong.
After attending the worst Diamondbacks game of the year, Kevin and Mandy from Maskerpiece Theatre record a podcast in traffic.
Steve and Gonzo play catch-up after not seeing each other for two
weeks. Topics of discussion include Gonzo's experiences at SolCon,
Tyroc, Deee Lite, Rom, the legacy of Blade, and why you
shouldn't attend charitable functions in Gotham City.
